Rustic storage is better than no storage at all, but it has the following problems: 1. There is insufficient ventilation, 2. The temperature varies from day to night, which is not suitable, 3. The light changes constantly.

This shrinkage results in a great deal of money down the drain. The production cost per kilo sold rises by 25%, and the sales margin decreases by even more, and this can even result in a net loss. In order to clarify the negative financial impact of shrinkage, or the loss of an uncontrolled harvest (known in Argentina as "rustic storage"), we have created a simple tool so that anyone can calculate the impact on their own situation.

You can also input your production costs per hectare, for instance to see the results of buying a better but much more expensive seed.
